Preventative Maintenance

All Hi-Fi valve amplifiers require servicing and preventative maintenance from time to time to keep them running at their optimum, this includes valve/tube testing and bias adjust where necessary, component measurements in key areas i.e., coupling capacitors, plate load resistors, power supply components and cathode bypass capacitors etc, therefore it is highly recommended that; “on no account should any valve amplifier be run continually without regular inspection intervals, ie; until it stops working ” as in most cases problems detected in regular service inspections “can and more often do” prevent possible catastrophic failure in the long run, you have been warned!
